Zinc Carbonate

Zinc Carbonate is the carbonate of zinc, with the chemical formula ZnCO3. Zinc carbonate appears as a white, fine amorphous powder with no odor. The main component of sphalerite is formed in secondary mineral weathering or zinc bearing deposit oxidation zones, sometimes replacing carbonate rocks to form zinc ore. Zinc carbonate is used as a lightweight astringent, formulated as calamine, skin protectant, and raw material for latex products.

Zinc carbonate, also known as lithopone, is a non-toxic white powder that is insoluble in water. It decomposes with acid and releases hydrogen sulfide, but does not react with hydrogen sulfide or salt. It has good heat resistance, can improve weather resistance, prevent algae, reduce costs, and has excellent shading whiteness.
The main uses and packaging of zinc carbonate
Main uses: Zinc carbonate is used as a skin protectant in medicine, a zinc supplement in feed, a lightweight astringent and latex product in industry, a formulation of calamine detergent, and a major raw material for producing desulfurizers and catalysts in the artificial silk and fertilizer industries. It can also be widely used in rubber products, paints, and other chemical products. In oil drilling, this product can react with H2S to generate stable insoluble ZnS, and its addition to mud does not affect the mud performance, thus effectively eliminating H2S pollution and corrosion. It is used as a corrosion inhibitor and desulfurizer for H2S containing oil and gas wells. Used in the EVA foaming industry to achieve uniform foaming and alleviate the effects of AC/ADC foaming agents.
Product packaging: Packaged in plastic woven bags lined with polyethylene plastic bags, with a net weight of 25kg per bag. Store in a cool, ventilated, and dry warehouse. Do not store or mix with acidic or alkaline substances. Pay attention to moisture prevention. During transportation, it is necessary to prevent rain, moisture, sun exposure, and heat. Water can be used for rescue in case of fire. Sand and fire extinguishers for firefighting.

The heavy basic zinc carbonate developed by our company has lead, arsenic, and cadmium content controlled below 10PPM, with a specific gravity between 0.9-1.3. The proportion can be adjusted according to the special needs of customers. This product can be directly used as a zinc supplement in feed.
